Coimbatore : Two police personnel from the Coimbatore Police Department won the runners-up position in the 19th All India Police Band Competition organised by the Jammu and Kashmir police, under the aegis of the All India Police Sports Control Board.
Coimbatore : Two police personnel from the Coimbatore Police Department won the runners-up position in the 19th All India Police Band Competition organised by the Jammu and Kashmir police, under the aegis of the All India Police Sports Control Board.

M Velmurugan, Police Constable and X Alexander, Head Constable of the Coimbatore Police Department had participated in the competition in which policemen from around 18 states and 6 union territories had showcased their band skills.
Velmurugan and Alexander participated in the Bugler category of the competition and secured second place. The Coimbatore City Police Commissioner, Sumit Sharan greeted the medal winners at his office and lauded their achievement.
