Coimbatore : Kumaraguru College of Technology emerged as champions of 'CENTIES 2019' Kho Kho tournament defeating SNS Tech in the final of the tournament held at the Coimbatore Institute of Technology, here on Sunday.
The CENTIES Club has been organising various sports activities for engineering students in the Coimbatore, Erode, Nilgiris and Tirupur regions, and as a part of CENTIES-2019, a Kho Kho tournament was conducted at the CIT College premises in which 12 colleges vied for the trophy.
KCT, SNS College of Technology, CIT and PSG College of Technology were the four teams that qualified for the semi-finals of the tournament in which KCT defeated CIT by 18-17 to enter the finals, while in the second semi-finals SNS Tech beat PSG Tech by 16-15 and qualified for the finals.
In the final clash between KCT and SNS, KCT defeated SNS Tech by 23-17 to lift the trophy while in the loser finals PSG Tech lost to CIT by 6-9.
