Coimbatore : PSG College of Technology and SNS College of Technology emerged as champions in the 10th edition of CENTIES, inter-collegiate sports meet for women, organised at SNS Tech in the city on Friday.
Coimbatore : PSG College of Technology and SNS College of Technology emerged as champions in the 10th edition of CENTIES, inter-collegiate sports meet for women, organised at SNS Tech in the city on Friday.

Students from over 20 engineering colleges from Coimbatore, Erode, the Nilgiris and Tirupur participated in events, including ball badminton, badminton, kho kho, volleyball, basketball and table tennis, conducted as part of the meet.
While the final badminton match was played by PSG Tech against Bannari Amman Institute of Technology, the latter team was defeated by 2-0. Similarly, in throwball event, PSG took over Kongu Engineering college by 2-0 to emerge as champions.

In ball badminton and kho kho matches, SNS Tech clinched the trophy by defeating Vellalar College for Women and Kumaraguru College of Technology, respectively.
While Kongu Engineering college students won the volleyball match, Builders Engineering College, Erode, and Bannari Amman Institute of Technology students topped in basketball and table tennis events.

Principal of SNS college of Technology, Dr S Chenthurapandian, distributed te prizes alomg with Dr S Nalin Nirmal Kumar, technical director of SNS Tech. SNS tech physical director Dr Dinakaran, and founder member of CENTIES Dr S Somasundaramoorthy were also present among others during the prize distribution.
