Coimbatore: P Shri Nivetha, a first-year Masters student of International Business from the PSG College of Arts and Science here in Coimbatore has clinched bronze at the 42nd Intershoot 2019 held at The Hague, Netherlands.
Coimbatore: P Shri Nivetha, a first-year Masters student of International Business from the PSG College of Arts and Science here in Coimbatore has clinched bronze at the 42nd Intershoot 2019 held at The Hague, Netherlands.
P Shri Nivetha participated in the 10 m air pistol women's event in which she finished third in the competition, scoring 216,1 in the finals. The first two places were bagged by Chinese shooters Mengxue and Xiaojing respectively.
InterShoot is an annual international shooting competition for Air Pistol and Air Rifle, where the shooters can shoot for three full matches during the three-day tournament (60 shots in a match).
Shri Nivetha is the only shooter from Tamil Nadu in the tournament and finished fourth in the individual event at the end of Day One of the tournament. On Day Two, she secured sixth place in the individual event and clinched silver in the team event. P Shri Nivetha was successful on Day Three where she shot 216,1 to take home the bronze medal.
