1200 cyclists take part in MVS and Tamil Nadu Cycling Association's International Cycling Carnival

Coimbatore : As many as 1200 cyclists participated from across the country participated in the 6th edition of MVS Coimbatore Criterium held in association with Tamil Nadu Cycling Association (TNCA) held at Kari Motor Speedway on Sunday.

Coimbatore : As many as 1200 cyclists participated from across the country participated in the 6th edition of MVS Coimbatore Criterium held in association with Tamil Nadu Cycling Association (TNCA) held at Kari Motor Speedway on Sunday.



Catering to all cycling enthusiasts for categories -- Mixed Relay Race, Under 18 boys, Amateur women, Amateur men, Masters Women, Masters Men, Elite, Veterans Men & Veterans Women, a total cash prize of Rs.2,40, 000/-. The final round of the SCOTT XC Series was the MVS Enduro 2019 which carried a separate cash award for the top 5 places sponsored by SCOTT Sports India. 



A release from the event said "The MVS Enduro took place at the two purpose built off-road racing track for MTBs at farms in Chettipalayam. The response is a testament to how cycling has grown as a sport leading to increased participation. as well as performance benchmarks in events like the MVS Cycling Carnival", said Jaymin Shah, Country Manager, SCOTT Sports India.



 Arjun Balu - Race Director, Thoufeeq Ahamed - Executive Director, PEEKAY Steels, Radhakrishnan - Tamil Nadu Cycling Association, Sanjay Balu - Chairman MVS Cycling Carnival and Charles Fabian - Director Operation, The Residency Towers were the chief guests for the event.
