Coimbatore: PSG college of Arts and science here on Thursday defeated Pachaiyappas college, Chennai by 1-0 in the final of the 28th State level Inter college football tournament for PSG TROPHY held at the college premises in the city.

As many as 12 top football team across Tamil Nadu participated in the tournament organised by physical education department of PSG CAS.
An early goal from Ajmir Raja in the 17th minute helped PSG CAS to lift the trophy. Though Pachaiyappas had a series of opportunities to hit a goal, they couldn't alter the score baord. Thus, allowing PSG college defeat them by 1-0.
Shylu of PSG college of Arts and sciences was selected as best player of the tournament. V.P Sathiesh Kumar, Former Indian football player and Chennai City FC's goal keeper coach was the chief guest. He distributed prizes to the winners.
Dr. D Brindha, Principal of PSG CAS, Dr. T Kannaian, Secretary of PSG CAS, Physical Director Dr. B Navaneethan and Dr. R Soundararajan, Assistant physical director were present during the prize distribution.
