After Dindigul scored 197 runs on Day 1, Coimbatore's opening batsman B Sachin remained unbeaten throughout the innings and went on to score 214, scoring a double ton which helped the hosts to post a huge 365 runs or 5 wickets in their 90 overs. Having conceding a 168-run lead in the first innings, Dindigul scored 141 for the loss of 2 wickets at the end of Day 2. Coimbatore will now be looking to seal a victory on Day 3 to book its berth for the finals of the Thevar Trophy 2019.
