Coimbatore: While the Indian Throwball team won the Asian Throwball Championship held by the Asian Throwball Federation recently at Bengaluru, P Indhu who studies Sociology at the PSG College of Arts and Science in Coimbatore, represented India and showcased her exceptional skills to help the country win the series.
Coimbatore: While the Indian Throwball team won the Asian Throwball Championship held by the Asian Throwball Federation recently at Bengaluru, P Indhu who studies Sociology at the PSG College of Arts and Science in Coimbatore, represented India and showcased her exceptional skills to help the country win the series.

Indhu, passionate about sports always looked to achieve something in the field of sport and hence took up throwball as a career sport in Class 8, and since then there was no looking back. Indhu who has been playing for Tamil Nadu the past eight years performed consistently in the National Games which landed her a call to represent the country in the India-Sri Lanka series, held in Karnataka. Even as a debutant, Indhu did very well in the series and exhibited her skills to the utmost.

Talking to Simplicity, Indhu says, "It is a proud moment for me to represent my country and win a medal for the nation. I was trying hard to earn this position. Unfortunately, I missed the opportunity to represent the country last year, but this year I had a chance to play for the nation and performed well in this series. I am looking forward to the upcoming games"
