At the match held this evening at the City's Nehru Stadium, Chennai FC enthralled the crowd with goals after goals.

Bouncing back after a defeat against Real Kashmir at home, the home side delighted the home crowd with raining goals against the young shillong lajong side.
Chennai scored its first goal at the 12th minute of the game, when Sandro Rodriguez's corner kick went to Nestor Jesus who guided the ball into the nets to give CCFC the lead. And, another corner kick from Sandro turned into a goal when Roberto headed the ball right into the nets with perfection.

Chennai continued their dominance in their second half too, as they went to score their third goal of the match in the early minutes of second half. This time, it was Pedro Javier who took full advantage of the pass from Vanspal to take the lead 3-0 in the 49th minute of the game.
At last, Samuel Lalmuanpuia of Shillong team gave them a hope at 53rd minute of the game when he shot a stunning free kick into the centre of the nets to open their account in the match.

In the 69th minute of the game, the duo Vanspal and Nestor shot another goal to take the lead to 4-1. Nestor was brilliant enough to put the ball inside the nets, as soon as he got the pass from Vanspal.
Pedro Javier scored another stunning goal at 78th minute of the game, after he got the pass in the box from Vanspal and two minutes later Vanspal was fouled inside the box which offered Chennai a penalty that was converted easily by Pedro Javier. The match was sealed by Chennai City FC, as 6-1.

Pedro Javier was selected as the Hero of the match for his stunning three goals in the match.
