Coimbatore : C. Vishrutha, class XII student of GRD CPF school has brought laurels to the city, as she becomes the first ever from Coimbatore to bag gold at National School Games Athletics championships held at Delhi between Dec 14-19.
Coimbatore : C. Vishrutha, class XII student of GRD CPF school has brought laurels to the city, as she becomes the first ever from Coimbatore to bag gold at National School Games Athletics championships held at Delhi between Dec 14-19.
Vishrutha who has been training under Vairavanathan of Genesis sports club here in the city participated in the 400 mts hurdles at 1:02:79 to become the first gold medalist from the city at National school Games organised by School Games Federation of India (SGFI).

Earlier this year, Vishrutha secured silver in Reliance Youth Sports Foundation held at Mumbai and bagged several medal in state and national level competitions.
Vairavanathan, the happy Coach of Vishrutha said that "The hard work and effort she put into the game has earned her this place. She is a very dedicated and sincere athlete who always aims to achieve big. And this victory would be a opening for her successful career".
