Coimbatore : Sri Ramakrishna Polytechnic College has lifted the trophy in the Divisional-level Inter Polytechnic College Volleyball Tournament for men which was held at Sri Ramakrishna Polytechnic College, here on Friday. About 27 Polytechnic Colleges from Coimbatore, Nilgiris, Pollachi, Palani and Tiruppur participated in the tournament, organised by Sri Ramakrishna Polytechnic College with the hosts emerging victors.

Though Sri Ramakrishna lost the first set in the finals of the tournament, the hosts bounced back in the second set and continued to dominate in the decider to clinch the victory against P.A Polytechnic College and emerge as champions. Sri Ramakrishna Polytechnic College won the match with the scoreline reading 3-2 (20-25, 25-17 and 25-19).
Similarly in a match for the third place against Coimbatore Institute of Technology, Thiruvalluvar Polytechnic College defeated them by 2-1 ( 25-22, 14-25, 26-14) to secure third place in the tournament.
B L Sivakumar, the Principal of Sri Ramakrishna Polytechnic College along with P Shanmugavel, their Physical Director distributed the trophies and certificates to the winners.
