Coimbatore : Stanes School, ICSE, completely dominated the 82nd G Varatharaj District Athletic Meet, winning several medals at the Meet, mostly in the Girls' category. The school also clinched the total aggregate championship at Inter-school Athletic Meet held at the PSG Medical College grounds.
Coimbatore : Stanes School, ICSE, completely dominated the 82nd G Varatharaj District Athletic Meet, winning several medals at the Meet, mostly in the Girls' category. The school also clinched the total aggregate championship at Inter-school Athletic Meet held at the PSG Medical College grounds.
The athletes from Stanes School created five new meet records and won seven gold medals in the competition. Shakthi Rajaram bagged two golds (Discuss throw and Javelin), Agathya, Prasanna Sri Hari, Sahun Joshwa, D Israel, linsiya, Adrina, Shan won golds in the other events. Stanes School also won the gold in the Under-12 years category girls 4*100 mts relay.
Various events like 100 mts, 200 mts, long jump, high jump, javelin, shotput, discuss throw and relays were organised for both boys and girls, under various age categories ranging 6,8,10 and 12 years. The Meet was organised by the Amateur Athletic Sports Club.
