Alagappan's six wicket haul ensures a dream run for RKS

Coimbatore : Left-arm orthodox spinner, G Alagappan's best bowling figure of 6/34 helped RKS Kalvinilayam I.C.C to restrict Kingz CC for 117 which helped RKS register their fourth consecutive win in the TNCA-CDCA third division league match held at the Coimbatore Institute of Technology (CIT), on Sunday.

Coimbatore : Left-arm orthodox spinner, G Alagappan's best bowling figure of 6/34 helped RKS Kalvinilayam I.C.C to restrict Kingz CC for 117 which helped RKS register their fourth consecutive win in the TNCA-CDCA third division league match held at the Coimbatore Institute of Technology (CIT), on Sunday. 

Batting first at the CIT grounds, Kingz CC never looked comfortable against the left-arm spin from G Alagappan, losing their batsmen at regular intervals. They were all out in the 35th over for a paltry 117 runs. Chasing the low total, the sturdy RKS batsmen achieved the target comfortably in 27 overs. K Sabarinath of RKS scored 31 for his side. Kingz C.C scored 117 in 34.5 overs (G Alagappan 6/34) losing to RKS Kalvinilayam I.C.C - 118/4 in 27 overs (K Sabarinath 31). 

Similarly, in another TNCA-CDCA Second Division league between Wings CC and Arumugam CC held at the PSG IMS A, Wings clinched the match by 60 runs. Wings C.C were all out for 183 in 42.2 overs (R Deepak and M S Raahul of Wings CC scored 49 and 45 respectively, and Stephen Raj of Arumugam CC scalped 3/36 with his bowling) to defeat Arumugam C.C - 123 in 45.4 overs (C Ashok 36, C Ragupathy 3/28).
