Coimbatore: Athlete-turned Archer, V Tina Durga, studying BA Economics at PSGR Krishnammal College for Women has won a gold medal in Archery at the National Rural Games, held at the Universal Academy, Puducherry.
Coimbatore: Athlete-turned Archer, V Tina Durga, studying BA Economics at PSGR Krishnammal College for Women has won a gold medal in Archery at the National Rural Games, held at the Universal Academy, Puducherry.

The young archer from Coimbatore was actually into athletics for the last six years, before she ventured into archery. Tina has been training with Eagles Archery Academy in the city for the past six months and was brilliant enough in her sport to achieve a gold medal in her very first attempt.
The 8th National Rural Games was organised at Puducherry between November 30 to December 2. More than 700 archers from various parts of the country took part in the Meet.
Tina participated in the 50 mts Indian Bow event under the 19 years and above category and bagged the National Gold. "I am very happy with the medal I won and this is my first National medal in Archery. It was my dream to win a national medal in archery and that too in my very first attempt is indeed special for me," exulted Tina.
