Coimbatore: S Vinith bowled a brilliant spell (5 for 36) as PSG Tech CC prevailed over Kovai Tuskers to register their first victory in the TNCA-CDCA third division league match, held at the PSG IMS grounds on Sunday.
PSG Tech Cricket Club scored 160 in 49.2 overs (Ranjith Kumar 36, V.Mani Bharathi 48, M.Syed Ibrahim 4/13) to defeat Kovai Tuskers 108 in 25.2 overs (S.Vinith 5/36 , S.Lilith 3/39).

In another TNCA-CDCA second division league match held at Rathinam College grounds, Rajasekhar Mani M.C.C sealed Red Diamonds C.C by 140 to register their third consecutive victory of the season. Batting first at Rathinam College grounds, RMMCC batsmen were dominant right from the beginning. Some positive batting from openers Nalla Thambi and Perumalsamy kick-started the innings for them. In spite of losing a couple of quick wickets, K Ragu paired with M Kathiresan to put the team in a solid position. The pair exhibited their skills to perfection and kept the scoreboard ticking. A quick cameo from Manoj Wilson (37 off 17) helped the team to post a huge 320 on board.
Facing the big score, Red Diamonds batsmen made their intentions very clear from the start of their innings and tried to score early on. But they lost their top order batsmen very early, which ensured RMMCC emerged victorious. L Nivas Ali Khan was the lone crusader for his side with his unbeaten 77 runs, which still proved to be in vain.
Scores: Rajasekhar Mani M.C.C 320/5 in 50 overs (R Nalla Thambi 50, K Ragu 66, M Kathiresan 70*, R Manoj Wilson 37*) beat Red Diamonds C.C 180 in 36.1 overs (L Nivas Ali Khan).
