The CM also expressed his gratitude on receiving the first ticket of the World Cup and hoped that fans from across the globe are geared up to catch the euphoria of the event and explore the state.

Patnaik in his tweet stated, “The promo of the #HWC2018 anthem #JayHindIndia has caught the imagination of all sports lovers and special thanks to @iamsrk who is coming to #Odisha to immortalise the #OdishaWorldCupAnthem created by @arrahman for all hockey fans. Thank you.” The Hockey World Cup is scheduled to be held in the capital city of Odisha from November 28 and it will conclude on December 16.

Responding to the CM’s tweet, the Chak De actor said that he is looking forward to visit Odisha and it is everyone’s duty to promote the national sport.

Rahman, who had collaborated with lyricist Gulzar to compose the world cup anthem ‘Jai Hind India’, on Sunday gave a glimpse of the video on Twitter. The 46-second clip features both Shah Rukh and Rahman sharing the stage with the Indian team standing in the background. The video also covers the cultural dance forms of the state.

The Indian Hockey Team is placed in Group C alongside, Belgium, Canada, and South Africa. The Men in Blue will play their first match against South Africa on November 28. A total of 16 countries are participating in the 14th edition of the event. India is hosting the event for the third time after having organised it in 1982 in Mumbai and in 2010 in New Delhi.
