Coimbatore : P Shri Nivetha, a first year M.Com (IB) student of PSG College of Arts and Science, has bagged a gold medal in the All India Inter-university Shooting Championship held at the Punjab University, Chandigarh, between October 30 to November 5.
Coimbatore : P Shri Nivetha, a first year M.Com (IB) student of PSG College of Arts and Science, has bagged a gold medal in the All India Inter-university Shooting Championship held at the Punjab University, Chandigarh, between October 30 to November 5.
Representing Baharathiar University, Nivedha scored 576 points to tower over other competitors to clinch the gold in the 10 mts Air Pistol event for women. Following Nivetha, Aarju of the University of Delhi and Malaika Goel of Punjab University secured the silver and bronze medals, respectively.

Similarly, the team of G Varsha, M. Com (IB) Ist Year, V Srinithi Abirami, PGDHRM and N Gayaathiri, M.Com (IB) IInd Year of PSG CAS bagged a silver medal in 50 mts 3 positions team event and another silver in the 50 mts Sports Rifle Prone event, adding three medals to the Baharathiar University shooting team's tally in the overall championship.
Around 1400 shooters from various universities across India participated in the championship. Five students from PSG CAS represented Baharathiar University in the championship and emerged victorious in the All India Inter-university Shooting Championship.
