Nestor Jesus Gordillo scored the first goal for the host to take an early lead, but the second half of the game produced three goals which ended in a draw. At half time. it was 1-0 lead for Chennai City FC though there were many chances attempted with the all-muscle visitors making eight fouls in the game.

The hero of the match was Nenad Novakovic who scored the first goal for his side. Churchill Brother's intent of attacking paved the way for an equaliser. Nenad Novakovic used the opportunity when they got a corner kick in the 51st minute of the game. It took just six more minutes for the visitors to score another dominating goal to lead the game 2-1. This time it was Israil Gurung who scored a blaster from a slipped chance out of the hands of Kabir (Goal keeper) who conceded a cheap goal, thus allowing the visitors a lead.

The final 30 minutes of the game was a cliff hanger, with CCFC missing a couple of chances with one going over the goalpost and the other not on target. CCFC then bounced back into the game at the 62nd minute of the game, with a pass from the right corner finding the foot of Sandro Rodriguez who made no mistake in kicking the ball into the net, equalising the game 2-2 in the second half of the game .

CCFC will be playing their next fixture against Neroca FC, Delhi, on November 24, here at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium.
