Thilak, prime accused in murder of elderly woman in Coimbatore, surrenders at Saidapet Court

Coimbatore: On the 30th of last month, Dhanalakshmi, an old woman who was alone at home on Vysial street in Coimbatore, was murdered and 80 sovereign jewelry and money were looted from the house.


Coimbatore: On the 30th of last month, Dhanalakshmi, an old woman who was alone at home on Vysial street in Coimbatore, was murdered and 80 sovereign jewelry and money were looted from the house.

Coimbatore City Police registered a case and were investigating. Two sisters, Latha and Mala, who lived on the street next to Dhanalakshmi's house, were arrested by the special team of police yesterday along with mechanic Manoj, Selvam and auto driver Sathyaseelan from Peelamedu area.

Meanwhile, police were camping in Chennai and Tirupathi to search for Thilak, Lata's brother, the mastermind behind the plot in the murder of the elderly woman.

Meanwhile, Thilak surrendered in the Saidapet court in Chennai today. Following this, the police have gone to Chennai and are in the process of bringing Thilak to Coimbatore. It is believed that if he is brought to Coimbatore and interrogated, more facts will be revealed in this case.
