CODISSIA's 7th edition of Coimbatore Shopping festival to commence on Dec 24

Coimbatore: The annual Coimbatore Shopping Festival 2019 organized by CODISSIA Intec Technology Centre will be inaugurated on December 24.

Coimbatore: The annual Coimbatore Shopping Festival 2019 organized by CODISSIA Intec Technology Centre will be inaugurated on December 24. 

"The 7th edition of the shopping festival will commence on December 24 and end on January 1, 2020. The idea of the shopping festival is not only to promote trade and commerce in the region but also make Coimbatore a holiday destination during the year end season", 

said E.K.Ponnuswamy, Chairman, Shoppers fest at a press meet held at a private hall in Coimbatore. 

He added that the success of the event can be measured by our sponsors from varied industries who have stood by us from the beginning. 



"Over the years, this mega Coimbatore Shopping Festival has created a unique shopping experience to the visitors and us regarded as a iconic event that makea the City proud", he noted.

According to the organisers, Coimbatore Shopping Festival 2019 will showcase some of the best consumer products and will be a one-stop shopping solution for people of all age groups.

They added that the visitors can chill out by enjoying various entertainment programs during the evenings, scheduled on all days. Especially, the carnivals and outdoor games to keep the children engaged. 

The multiple eateries is an added attraction at the festival. The food counters are arranged in such a way that people can indulge themselves lavishly in food while also enjoying the entertainment programs.



Speaking about the event, R. Ramamurthy, President CODISSIA said, "Last year, the shopping festival saw one lakh footfalls and we expect more footfalls, this year. The festival generated Rs. 50 crore business last year which is expected to double this year. As more than 500 stalls are participating in this festival, the revenue will definitely boost the economy of our region. While the economy is witnessing a slump, these type of shopping festivals will be very helpful for the traders." 

Entry charge per person for the exhibition will be Rs.50/-. Entry is free for Kids below 5 years of age.
