Israeli President Reuven Rivlin, who is currently in Mumbai, will be visiting Colaba today. The Mumbai traffic police have issued parking restrictions at 10 roads in the area to facilitate the VVIP movement. Rivlin is on a six-day tour of India.
Rivlin’s convoy will be passing through various sites in Colaba, officials said. To ensure its smooth movement, no vehicles will be allowed to park on the 10 selected roads (read below) between 4pm and 11pm today.
“In anticipation of the huge crowd at and around the site and in order to avoid inconvenience to public at large, the restrictions have been are placed,” said SS Burse, deputy commissioner of police (Traffic).
Traffic snarls are expected in south Mumbai due to currently placed restrictions and motorists are advised to plan their travel in advance.
No parking zones - NS Road, Mafatlal junction to Madam Cama Road, Cooperage Road, BEST Road, P Ramchandani Marg, SBS Road, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Marg, Adam Street, Mahakavi Bhushan Marg, Boham Behram Marg.
