The Navy is on the highest level of alert after two schoolchildren reported that they had seen men dressed in black carrying arms this morning near Mumbai.
The children reportedly told their school that they had spotted five men carrying guns, their faces covered, near an ammunition dump of the Indian Navy in Uran. The Navy, said sources, is treating the information very seriously.
The police and Maharashtra's anti-terror squad or ATS have been alerted.
Uran is about 50 km from Mumbai.
