Mann Ki Baat LIVE: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the 50th edition of his monthly radio programme ‘Mann ki Baat’ today. The Prime Minister in his address will be sharing his thoughts on various issues with the people through an All India Radio broadcast starting at 11 am today.

The PM’s speech will be broadcast on All India Radio, Doordarshan and the Narendra Modi mobile app. The YouTube channels of the Prime Minister’s Office, information and broadcasting ministry and allindiaradio.gov.in will also air the speech. All India Radio will also broadcast the programme in regional languages immediately after the Hindi broadcast.

In his last address that aired on October 28, PM Modi evoked the legacy of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and credited him with uniting India after partition.

In his last address, the prime minister also praised the para-athletes, who had represented India in the Asian Para Games last month and said that their spirit to overcome challenges is inspirational. He also evoked India’s ‘golden history’ in hockey and said that the nation has contributed largely to the sport by giving a number of talented players like Dhyanchand, Balvinder Singh Sr, Dhanraj Pillai among others.

“India has a golden history in Hockey. In the past, we have won several gold medals and also won the World Cup once. India has given some great hockey players to the world,” PM Modi had said.

The Mann ki Baat programme was started in October 2014, a few months after Modi government assumed office. It is aired on last Sunday of every month.
