11 officers, including Shikha, transferred


Eleven IAS officers, including C. Shikha, Deputy Commissioner of Mysuru district, were transferred on Wednesday. She is posted as Commissioner, Social Welfare Department.

Ms. Shikha’s transfer comes not only in the midst of an episode relating to her lodging a police complaint against the former president of the Mysuru Zilla Panchayat K. Mari Gowda, an aide of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, but also barely weeks before the start of annual Dasara festival on October 1. Mari Gowda, who is facing charges of intimidating and abusing Ms. Shikha, is in jail after being on the run for a month.

Other transfers

Among the other transfers, M.V. Savithri, Commissioner of Social Welfare Department, and M.N. Ajay Nagabhushan, Deputy Commissioner of Mandya district, have been posted as Managing Director, Karnataka Small Industries Development Corporation Ltd., and Commissioner for Food, Civil Supplies and Consumers Affairs Department, respectively.

Manoj Jain has been transferred and posted as Managing Director, Karnataka Food and Civil Supplies Corporation Ltd.; D. Randeep as Deputy Commissioner of Mysuru district; Khushboo Goel Chowdhary as Deputy Commissioner of Yadgir district; Ramandeep Chowdhary has been posted as Additional Commissioner, Department of Public Instruction, Kalaburagi; H.R. Mahadev as Additional Commissioner of Commercial Taxes (Enforcement), South Zone, Bengaluru; S. Ziyaullah as Deputy Commissioner of Mandya district; K.B. Shivakumar as Deputy Commissioner of Vijayapura district; and M.G. Hiremath has been posted as Managing Director, Hubballi–Dharwad BRTS Company Ltd.
