New Delhi : It was a mainly clear sky on Friday morning in the national capital with the minimum temperature recorded at 25.8 degrees Celsius, one notch above the season's average, with light rains predicted for the day ahead.

"The sky will be get cloudy towards the afternoon with light rains/ thundershowers likely to occur," an India Meteorological Department (IMD) official said.

The maximum temperature was likely to hover around 34 degrees Celsius, he said, adding that the humidity at 8.30 a.m. was 79 per cent.

Thursday's maximum temperature settled at 35.7 degrees Celsius, one notch above the season's average while the minimum temperature was recorded at 24 degrees Celsius, one notch below the season's average.
