The term Azhagiri used was "seyal illaa thalaivar" or "leader without work". It was a sarcastic pun on the Tamil term for working president: "Seyal thalaivar".
Azhagiri, who was expelled from the DMK by his father -- the late Karunanidhi -- said he would "definitely" return to active politics. However, he doesn't think the DMK will re-induct him.
He plans to put up a "big show of strength" at a September 5 rally, which he said would be held to pay homage to Karunanidhi.
