Does BJP want to turn India into Taliban state, asks AAP after Alwar lynching

AAP Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh has alleged that the BJP was providing patronage to the culprits wherever the incidents of mob lynching were taking place.

AAP Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh has alleged that the BJP was providing patronage to the culprits wherever the incidents of mob lynching were taking place.

Reacting to the latest incident of lynching in Alwar, Rajasthan where 28-year old Rakbar Khan was attacked and killed by a mob on the suspicion of cow smuggling, Singh said that such incidents will continue to happen unless Prime Minister Narendra Modi cracks down on his cabinet ministers who felicitate the accused.

What has happened in Alwar is a cause of concern. People who are in government are behind these killings. The government felicitates the accused involved in the cases of mob lynching and therefore they are encouraged to take law into their hands. The Centre needs to take action on such ministers to put a stop to this menace, said Sanjay Singh, AAP Rajya Sabha MP.

Reacting to the controversial comments of union minister Arjun Meghwal where he linked the Alwar killing to rising popularity of the Prime Minister and blaming the opposition for trying to tarnish his image, the AAP MP said that the minister made a mockery of the killing with his remarks.

TALIBAN STATE?

Meghwals comments is nothing but a joke that the opposition is behind the lynching incidents. This is BJPs way to justify their wrong doing. Does BJP want to turn the country into a Taliban state ? PM should intervene in such matters, demanded the AAP MP.

On the furore created by BJP over Congress President Rahul Gandhi hugging PM inside the Parliament on Saturday during the debate on no-confidence motion, Sanjay Singh took a jibe maintaining that PM Modi had no qualms in hugging former Pakistan PM Nawaz Sharif but has reservations when it comes from Rahul Gandhi.

BJP NOT FOND OF HUGS

BJP is a party which believes in hurling abuses and not fond of hugs. They can hug Pakistan PM Nawaz Sharif but not the Congress President. There is nothing wrong in what Rahul did, said Sanjay Singh.

Singh, who is on a 2-day visit to Patna to expand his party in the state said that they would be fighting 80-10 Lok Sabha seats in 2019 Lok Sabha elections across the country.
