Today marks the 69th year of the Indian Independence Act 1947, the beginning of a new era of free India. The Indian Independence Bill was introduced in British Parliament on July 4, 1947. The act officially announced the end of the British Rule in India on 15 August 1947 and the establishment of two Dominions of India and Pakistan. The two Dominions were given the right to repudiate from the British Commonwealth.
