J&K Finance Minister Haseeb Drabu divested of portfolio
Mr. Drabu had commented that Kashmir “was not a political issue but a social problem”.
J&K Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti on Monday divested State Finance Minister Haseeb Drabu, of his portfolio, two days after he had remarked that “Kashmir was a social and not a political issue”. Mr. Drabu had been the architect of the party’s alliance with the BJP.
In a communique to Governor N.N.Vohra, Ms. Mufti also conveyed the People Democratic Party’s decision to drop Mr. Drabu from the Council of Ministers. The governor had accepted the decision.
