Karnataka Lokayukta Justice Shetty stabbed several times inside his office, attacker arrested
In a shocking incident, Karnataka Lokayukta Justice Vishawanath Shetty was attacked by an accused who was brought for grilling. In a massive breach of securtiy, the attack took place inside the Lokayukta's office in Bengaluru as the accused stabbed him at least three times, while Justice Shetty was hearing a case, reports said.
Justice Shetty was rushed to Mallya Hospital in the city where he was said to be admitted in the ICU. State Home Minister Ramalinga Reddy stated that the Lokayukta was "out of danger". Chief Minister Siddaramiah also reached the hospital to meet the Lokayukta.
The accused, identified as one Tejas Sharma from Tumkur, had been nabbed and taken into police custody, reports said

While questions were being raised over the glaring lapse of security at the Lokayukta chambers, a few Congress leaders attempted to highlight the Lokayukta's policy to hold an "open court" at his office, where in members of the public were allowed to enter his office to interact with him.
