The Lok Sabha adjourned till March 5 as soon as the Zero Hour began on Friday, amid protests by Andhra Pradesh members demanding a special package for their state.
Members from the ruling NDA ally TDP and the YSR Congress Party protested as soon as the House assembled, leading to an adjournment. When the House met again at noon, the protests continued.
After papers listed for the day were laid, Speaker Sumitra Mahajan adjourned the House, which will now meet again on March 5.
This washed out both the Question Hour and the Zero Hour, which also meant that Congress president Rahul Gandhi, who had given the notice to raise the Rafale deal, could not speak.
With this, the first half of the Budget session in the Lok Sabha came to an end.
Soon after the adjournment, some TDP members were seen having a conversation with senior BJP leader L.K. Advani for sometime in the House.
