Tamilnadu Government would expedite measures to demolish old school buildings in the state and construct new ones. And this work will commence soon, said K.A.Sengottaiyan, School Education Minister.
Sengottaiyan, who spoke to the media at the city airport before proceeding to Erode said that the School education department has coordinated with the Health department to impart dengue awareness and conduct programes among school children, to enlighten them.
The school education department would also construct new toilets, laboratories and classrooms wherever necessary and as per the student strength of government run schools, at an outlay of Rs. 1 crore, Sengottaiyan said. The 450 NEET coaching centres would began functioning soon.
“The school education department will release a workbook consisting of 58,000 concepts in question-answer format to facilitate school children crack the eligibility tests like NEET” the minister added‘.
It has been decided to allocate teacher posts to both sections of teacher candidates with TN TET weightage marks and without weightage marks in schools in the state, even as the expert committee report to do away with weightage mark calculator system is awaited in November said Sengottaiyan and added that part time teachers would be appointed wherever teacher vacancies exists in Government run schools.
