A higher level probe should be ordered into the special privileges extended to jail V.K.Sasikala and the graft which was given to the officials for this purpose said T.Raja, National Secretary of Communist Party of India.
Raja who is in the city to pay his last respects to the mortal remains of Veteran Communist Gnaiya while speaking to media paid glowing tributes to the departed leader, who had played a pivotal role for the growth of the party in the state
“Gnaiya wrote many leaned essays on crucial topics affecting the country he said that his loss is irreparable to the party in the state” Raja said.
While appealing to all party legislators to support candidature of Gopala Krishna Gandhi for Vice President, Raja said that the Electoral College should elect him for the good future of the country.
Opposing the move to relocate the Central Institute of Classical Tamil, to Tiruvarur he said that CPI condemns this move by the Centre , and request the Centre to abandon the move to relocate the Chennai based Tamil research by the Centre , Raja said.
Raja also made it clear that the CPI would oppose the privatization efforts of Chennai harbor both inside and outside parliament and condemned the petrol bomb attack carried out on a police station in Chennai.
