To mark the occasion of the National day of the Russian Federation, Government Universities in Russia have announced scholarships for meritorious students in MBBS and Engineering degree programs said Manoj Patki of EDURUSSIA, the authorized admission department of the Russian state and government universities in India.

The internationally acclaimed Russian Government Universities, with their world-class infrastructure, research facilities and highly qualified professors present an exceptional opportunity to these students. Russian Government Universities including I.M. Sechenov Moscow Medical University, Tambov State University, Pyatigorsk Volgograd State Medical University, Astrakhan State Medical University, Saratov State Medical University and other universities in the European part of Russia are part of this programme.

For ensuring safety and transparency, the Consulate General of the Russian Federation in India has recognized 'EDURUSSIA' as the authorized admission department of the Russian state and government universities in India and apart from being the authorized information and admission Department EDURUSSIA also functions as the office of the International Students Department of Russian government universities in India.
Dr. Mikhail G., a Senior Associate at the International Students Department of Moscow Medical University said, “During our recent conferences in India, we observed that students had queries about the breakaway states of the erstwhile Soviet Union and smaller South-east Asian countries. In the last few years, we have seen a number of untried colleges in places having little or no academic traditions trying to lure foreign students.
Despite this, the number of Indian students coming to Russian universities has risen dramatically each year since the past 15 - 20 years, as Indian students and their parents have been wise to select Russia for its rich academic heritage. A number of Russian universities, which are more than a hundred years old, are pioneers in research in the fields of medicine, science and technology.

Many globally practiced techniques like the Ilizarov Surgical Principles were developed in Russia. Russia’s unparalleled legacy is typified by the exceptionally large number of Nobel laureates Russian universities have produced, and by the fact that Russian scientists are the pioneers of many a modern scientific achievement, including sending the first human being into space, development of modern space stations and technology. Many Indians still do not know that the renowned Engineering institute ‘I.I.T. Mumbai’ was set up with Russian Government assistance in funding, technology and equipment.”
Dr. Samruddhi Bhanushali, a practicing Physician at the prestigious Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital at New Delhi who has completed her Medical degree in Russia says, “Along with great education supported by ample clinical exposure, Russia offers a safe and conducive learning environment for Indian girls and boys alike. Aspiring students and their parents are inspired by the success stories of other students who have been completing their medical education in Russia since the early 1990’s, making the Russian Federation a tried and tested destination for Indian students.

The majority of students from my batch are working as doctors in leading government and private hospitals in India, while a few are practicing abroad. My only word of caution to aspiring candidates is that you must ensure that your application is processed at any one of the authorized centers of the admission department EDURUSSIA, in order to avoid any potential complications.”
Mr. Manoj Patki of EDURUSSIA adds that the department also offers tailor made training programs for Indian students throughout the duration of the course, to ensure that students are able to clear the licensing test in India upon their return. He further cautions students and their parents that Russian universities do not follow a package system, and advises against paying the university fee to any party in India as the department has been receiving complaints of agents allegedly collecting cash on behalf of the universities.
