Three rowdies including an adolescent detained under goondas act


THANJAVUR: Three rowdies including an adolescent were detained under the goondas act on the orders of Collector A Annadurai.

Those who were detained under goondas act are R Vinodh (23), resident of East Street, Naattusalai, Pattukottai taluk, Thanjavur district, K Mandramurthy (19), resident of Kovilur, Vadadakadu, T Poondi Taluk , Tiruvarur district and  R Rajesh (31), resident of Kovilur, Manalmedu, Thiruthuraipoondi taluk, Tiruvarur district.

Based on the recommendations made by Superintendent of Police J Mahesh and the relevant documents produced by Inspector K Singaravel, Pattukottai police station, Collector Annadurai ordered the detention of the trio as goondas under the Section  3 (i) of  Tamil Nadu Act 14/1982.

Subsequently, Mandramurthy, an adolescent, was lodged at the Borstel school in Thanjavur while the  other two were lodged at the central prison in Tiruchy.
