Thanjavur: At least 151 schools, including 67 government schools, out of the total 399 school in the district have produced centum results in the SSLC (Class X) public examinations for which results were declared today.
Only 32, 224 students out of the total 33,844 students who had appeared for the SSLC public examinations in the district came out with flying colours. As usual, girls outshone the boys. Girls secured 97.03% while boys managed to secure 93.29% only.
At least 16,875 out of the total 17,391girls came out with flying colours while just 15,349 out of the total 16,453 boys managed to scrape through the exam, Chief Educational Officer MKC Subashini, releasing the results, said.
The overall pass percentage of students in the SSLC public examinations in the district is 95.21%. This is however, 0.28% less than that of last year which stood at 95.39%.
Subject-wise, four students in Tamil, 418 students in Mathematics, 435 students in Science and 1,083 students in Social Science scored centum marks in the district this year. However, no one score centum marks in English.
