ICG hovercraft develops technical snag

RAMESWARAM: A Hovercraft of the Indian Coast Guard (ICG) reportedly developed technical snag during patrol on high seas off Rameswaram coast today.

 The hovercraft of ICG, Mandapam Station, stranded at Devil’s point near Oaikuda seashore here after one of its propellers developed technical glitch. A technical team of the ICG is working to rectify the problem. the ICG officials are, however, yet to confirm the malfunction of hovercraft propeller.

The hovercrafts fitted with latest state-of-the art navigational equipments were deployed by the ICG for undertaking multi tasks such as close-to-coast surveillance, interception, search and rescue operations in and adjoining area of the Plak Bay.
