Presenting the indian saree, in its most intelligent form yet. Designed by gaurav gupta, powered by ibm watson.

This is the world's first AI-inspired saree. It was designed by celebrated designer Gaurav Gupta, powered by IBM Watson and made its debut at Vogue Women of the Year Awards. To uniquely celebrate the inspiring women achievers at this event, the saree was fitted with colour changing LEDs. Using Watson's Personality Insights API and a smart IoT integration, the colours changed based on each winner's personality.

In a first of a kind, IBM’s interactive ‘art installation’ at the Vogue Women of the Year 2017 was the focus for many a celebrity. Co-created with designer Gaurav Gupta and start-up Findability Sciences, the AI-Inspired saree was made highly personal, with the colour of the saree changing based on individual personality insights. In a simple easy-to-use Interface, all that was needed was the Twitter handle with the name of the person, and the saree took on the hue of the individual’s dominant personality trait.
