Shia boy killed, 18 injured due to grenade attack outside Imam Bargah in Karachi

Takfiri terrorists of banned Deobandi outfit threw a hand grenade that exploded leaving a 13-year old Shia boy martyred and 18 including women and children injured while they were going to attend a mourning congregation (majlis-e-aza) in a Karachi Imam Bargah on Monday night.

Blast occurred outside Masjid and Imam Bargah Dar e Abbas (AS) in the Federal Capital (FC) Area of Karachi where Shia Muslims were coming to attend a mourning congregation. All the injured were rushed to a government hospital for treatment.

Hospital sources said that one 13-year-old boy was killed due to grenade attack. 18 Shia mourners mostly women and children were injured.

AIG Karachi Police Mushtaq Mahr said no security personnel was deployed there. He said he would inquire why no policeman was assigned to guard the Shia mosque and Imam Bargah where majlis e aza was being held.

The FC Area where the macabre attack occurred had been badly hit by takfiris of proscribed ASWJ in past as well. Many Shia youths of this area were martyred due to targeted attacks of banned Deobandi terrorist outfits.
