The first trailer for Mission Impossible: Fallout shows high-flying Tom Cruise action

Paramount Pictures has released its first full trailer for Mission Impossible: Fallout, teasing more death-defying stunts from Tom Cruise.

Directed by Mission: Impossible: Rogue Nation and Jack Reacher director Christopher McQuarrie, Fallout is the sixth installment of the franchise. The trailer opens with what looks like the aftermath of a mission gone bad on the part of Cruise’s Ethan Hunt, and some plutonium has gone missing. Henry Cavill’s character August Walker points out that Hunt has been betrayed and disavowed by his own government numerous times, and asks when someone would just give up. The trailer then launches into motorcycle chases, fist fights, shootouts, and a particularly hair-raising helicopter chase.

Mission Impossible: Fallout hits theaters on July 27th, 2018.
