"There is no need for people to be afraid, adequate medical facilities and medicines are in stock and children should not be sent to school if they have symptoms of fever," health minister Ma Subramanian said.
It is to be noted that schools in Puducherry have declared holiday till September 25 to control the rapidly spreading fever.

In the name of storm water drain restoration and sewerage system restoration works, canals have been dug up in urban areas across Tamil Nadu and the work has not been completed for months.
Due to this, the public is facing great difficulties as they are not able to walk on the streets and cannot drive on the roads. On the one hand, the mosquito menace has increased to an all-time high as the sewage canals and storm water drains, which have been converted into sewage canals by the government itself, are open.
Due to this, people suffer from mosquito bites not only at night but also during the day. This is the reason for the spread of fevers like swine flu and dengue fever.
The DMK is trying to ensure that the storm water drains and sewage canals have not been completed for months. It is because of the negligence and inaction of the government. The DMK, which has passed 14 months by only talking. I don't know what more miseries we are going to face in the regime.
