The 28th vaccination camp will be held this Saturday, 30th and the Corporation has decided to set up camps at 1515 centres in the city with a view to administer vaccines to the maximum number of people, after the District Collectors meeting with the Chief Minister held on the 25th.

The 28th Covid vaccination camp will be held in Coimbatore and a target has been set to set up vaccination centres at 1515 locations.
According to a press release issued by the district administration, the Chief Minister, in a review meeting held with the District Collectors on the 25th, has directed to conduct a Mega Covid-19 vaccination camp at one lakh places across Tamil Nadu on Saturday (April 30). Accordingly, a target has been fixed for setting up vaccination centres at 1515 locations in Coimbatore district on Saturday.
Hence, 1081 camps have been planned to be conducted in rural areas, 325 camps in corporation areas, 109 camps in municipal areas. So far in Coimbatore27,78,885 persons above 18 years of age have been vaccinated with the first dose, 24,97,706 persons have been vaccinated with the second dose, 1,33,195 in the age group of 15-18 years have been vaccinated with the first dose,and the number of people who have received second dose in the age group 15-18 are 1,19,544.As many as 69,531 children in the age group of 12-14 years have received the first dose and 14,730 have been vaccinated with the second dose.
Those who have not been vaccinated and those above 60 years of age who have not received the booster vaccine have been asked to take advantage of the opportunity to get vaccinated.
