The number of fresh Covid19 cases recorded on a daily basis is in a single digit, 7, after 2 years in Coimbatore while, as many as 101 are undergoing treatment.
Coimbatore: The number of fresh cases of Covid19 recorded in Coimbatore is at 7, after two years.
Only seven cases of corona infection were confirmed in Coimbatore district yesterday, 16th of March. The daily infection has come down to single digit for the first time in Coimbatore district, in two years after the first case of corona infection was confirmed in 2020.
The number of cases was high during the 2nd wave of Corona, with the impact of the infection in Coimbatore higher than in Chennai. The infection was controlled by the combined efforts of the District Health Department, Health Department, and district administration.
After 2 years, the daily infection has come down to single digits yesterday in the district. 7 new cases have been confirmed. The number of corona victims in the district has increased to 3,29,879. No casualties were reported yesterday. A total of 19 patients who underwent treatment for the infection, have been discharged from public and private hospitals yesterday.
So far, 3,71,161 have recovered from the infection.
With casualty at 2,617 till date, 101 people are currently undergoing treatments.
