38 fresh cases of Covid-19 in city's Thondamuthur

The Health Department has stated that the number of one day's cases in Thondamuthur area of Coimbatore alone stands at 38, and hence has directed the public to follow Covid-19 safety guidelines.


Coimbatore: 38 people were confirmed as being infected with Covid-19 on Thursday alone in Thondamuthur and its surrounding areas, in Coimbatore.

With the onset of the pandemic's third wave, the number of Covid-19 infections has been increasing by the day across the State as well as Coimbatore district. On average, 40 cases of Covid-19 infection are being confirmed daily, in the Thondamuttur area alone. 46 people were diagnosed with Covid- infection on Wednesday.

On Thursday there were 5 infected in the area under Puluvapatti Primary Health Centre, 9 in Karadimadai, 7 in Narasipuram, 15 in Poochiyur area, and 2 in Semmedu, totaling 38 fresh cases.

The Health Department and Municipal Corporation are engaged in thorough cleaning and sanitation measures, as well as spraying disinfectants throughout the Thondamuthur area. People have been advised to take all precautionary measures to steer clear of Covid-19 infections.
