Coimbatore: A total of six police officers at the Annur Police Station test positive for Covid-19 infection in a single day, on Wednesday.

The cases of Covid-19 infections are surging at rocket speeds in and around Coimbatore. As many as 3,082 cases of coronavirus infection were detected on Wednesday alone. The silver lining on the dark cloud is that 955 people have recovered from the infection.

Around 48 people were diagnosed with the infection in the industrialised Annur and its surrounding areas yesterday, while six police personnel working at Annur police station have been diagnosed with corona infection today.
