Deadline extended for applying for assistance for pilgrimage to Jerusalem


Coimbatore district collector T. N.Hariharan issued a press release in which he has said, “It was announced earlier that Christians who are living in Tamil Nadu who are interested in the making the holy journey to Jerusalem shall apply for assistance with the Tamil Nadu government before 16th December under which each person will be given Rs.20,000 for this journey.”

The press release stated that the time for applying for this assistance has been extended to 30th of December. Christians who are interested in making this holy journey with the assistance of Tamil Nadu government should send their applications to Managing Director, Tamil Nadu Minorities Economic Development Corporation, 807 (5th Floor), Anna Salai, Chennai-600002.

The application forms for assistance under the scheme can be obtained from the District Backward and Christian Welfare Office which is located in the Coimbatore collector office premises.
