In a statement, he stated that under the Protection of Parents and Senior Citizens Act-2007, all old age homes, retirement old age homes, old age homes, old age complexes, auxiliary homes, preventive care homes, health care homes, secondary care homes etc are run by NGOs and private organisations for service or commercial purposes in the district should be registered with the District Social Welfare Department.
As a result, all old age homes, retired old age homes, and old age complexes functioning without registration in the Coimbatore district shall submit a proposal to the District Social Welfare Office, Coimbatore, along with the relevant documents.
