Coimbatore: The descendants of ex-servicemen joining the armed forces can apply for a consolidated grant during the training period, district collector Sameeran has said.
In order to encourage the descendants of ex-servicemen from Tamil Nadu and the descendants of the deceased soldiers to join the Army, in order to meet the expenses incurred during the army training period, the Government of Tamil Nadu is providing a consolidated grant through the District ExServicemens Welfare Department.
The Government of Tamil Nadu has been requested to avail the benefits of package subsidy while undergoing training in the armed forces in the three services.
Coimbatore District Collector G.S. Sameeran has requested the descendants of ex-servicemen and the descendants of the deceased soldiers to join the armed forces in the three services.
