The Coimbatore District Collector announced that the camp will be held from 9 am till 4 pm at 1697 Anganwadi Centers, 572 Private Schools, 1392 Government and Government-Aided Schools, 132 Technical Colleges, 89 Government Primary Health Centers and 328 Sub-Health Centers all across Coimbatore district.
The Department of Public Health and Preventive Medicine is conducting a Special Deworming Camp (with Tab Albendazole) across Coimbatore district on September 9 and 16.
In a press release issued by the District administration, the Coimbatore District Collector stated that the camp will be held on September 9 and 16 from 9 am to 4 pm in 1697 Anganwadi centers, 572 private schools, 1392 Government and Government-aided schools, 132 technical colleges, 89 Government primary health centers, and 328 sub-health centers.
During this camp, children from 1 year upto youth who are 19 years , and women aged 20 to 30 years (excluding pregnant and lactating mothers) will be administered the deworming medicine - Albendazole.
It has been announced that local doctors and health supervisors from the Department of Public Health and Preventive Medicine, Regional Project Officers, and District-level Health Officers in the Integrated Child Development Services will be involved in the camp’s inspection and supervision.
