National flags available for sale in post offices across Coimbatore district

In view of the 75th Independence day, sale of national flags at post offices commenced in Coimbatore under ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign as part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.


Coimbatore: In view of the 75th Independence day celebrations, Prime Minister Modi exhorted the citizens to hoist the national flag at home ( Har Ghar Tiranga) on the three days beginning August 13, 14 and 15 which are celebrated as part of the "Azad ka Amrit Mahotsav" this year.



In connection with the celebrations, the sale of the national flag has commenced in all the Post offices in the city including the Head Post office at Good Shepherd road and at RS Puram post office.



The miniature flags are made in satin cloth and sold for Rs.25 each. People can purchase the flag from the post office during working hours.
